Romelu Lukaku was subjected to monkey chants at the latest episode this term.
Sancho, that has been a revelation in Germany since joining Borussia Dortmund at 2017, is concerned players may be pushed from the match in the event the racism persists.
“I think it simply has to stop,” that the 19-year-old England winger mentioned.
“No player wants to play soccer and having misuse like that. It sets the assurance down and I believe that the love of this sport will only go soon if it doesn’t stop.
“Everyone ought to be happy and only do what they’re doing [with] no undue abuse.
“I really don’t think that it’s social networking [that’s the major issue ].
“I think some fans are very enthusiastic, they just say what they need to convey but they simply have to slow it down a bit. We’re still human. We’re not what people think. We might be famous but we love the sport and wish to play soccer.
“It’s hard when I see things like this because it feels like,’why should we play football’?” I feel just like Romelu Lukaku handled it [the situation in Cagliari] well by not responding and just taking on playing.”
