Gordon was suspended indefinitely in December by the NFL for a number of violations of the league’s substance abuse policy.
There’s been no recent update on the status of Gordon. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported in February that Gordon’s rehab was going well and that there was a”chance” he would be reinstated by training camp. With camp coming down the pike, we have yet to find a progress report on Gordon out his lowkey casting sessions together with Brady.
The Patriots re-signed Gordon to a one-year, $2.025 million contract this offseason in hopes he might be reinstated during the 2019 effort. All indications this offseason have pointed toward New England thinking Gordon will become qualified at one point or another. Finally, that decision comes down to the league office and Gordon’s progress.
