Trained in Britain by Paul Nicholls, last month the eight-year-old fell when joint-favourite for the Galway Plate in his very first start to Bolger, however, bounced back to win against a beginners chase in Killarney – his first victory in almost three decades.
Bolger stated:”He has a great racing weight and he is going into the race in great form.
“It was very important for him important for us that he’s his head in front at Killarney – hopefully it will improve his confidence.
“This is a 200,000 euro raceand everybody will be champing at the bit – but so long as they don’t get too much rain, hopefully he’ll run well and possibly get into the frame.”
Joseph O’Brien’s the Tom Mullins-trained Oscar Knight, All The Answers and Drumcliff also carries the McManus silks from Aidan Howard’s lawn.
