Team Ineos have signed Giro d’Italia winner Richard Carapaz on a three-year deal from next year.
After winning his first Grand Tour in 20, the Ecuadorian rider will make the move from Movistar.
He’ll join a team featuring three Grand Tour champions – Geraint Thomas, Egan Bernal and Chris Froome, who won this year’s Tour de France.
“This is a terrific chance for me to keep my development and expansion as a rider,” said Carapaz.
“The team continues to move from strength to strength, year in, year out. I already know a lot of the riders around the team and I am really excited about working with everybody at Team Ineos from following season.”
After enduring a string of injuries in an accident froome, a four-time Tour de France winner, also missed this year’s march however the Briton is hopeful of making the team next year in France.
