This week, we’ve got a Fight Pass card at Singapore. Because it is in Singapore, we have to wake up at 4:30am ET to see it live. I’ve set the alarm and that I will be up ready to sweat these early fights. DraftKings does not have many large tournaments this week so I will be playing more cash games and less GPPs. I’ll still have 3 GPP lineups but a lot of my investment this week will probably be in money games. But, There’s still money to be won so here are a Couple of plays I enjoy and my fade of the week:
Money Game play of this week — Stack, Leon Edwards ($8,600) AND Donald Cerrone ($7,600)
Donald”Cowboy” Cerrone is never in a boring fight. Whether he wins or loses, his fights generally score as a whole along with also the winner almost always pays off their cost in DraftKings. I usually look for 100 total points if I pile up a struggle in cash and that I think for this being a possible 5-rounds, it should assess well over that. Should Edwards win this battle, it is probably an early KO, and if this happens he’ll score very large. If Cerrone wins, he can lock up a submission or a knockout and that will readily 10x his price tag of $7.6k. However, either way, you have the winner in your lineup along with the ensured 30-90 win bonus points if you do stack. I believe this battle is going to be fun as long as it lasts and there ought to be a fantastic amount of points added up until these two get completed. If this does go 5 rounds, these two should still get over 100 total points with the speed Cowboy brings to the table.
GPP play of the week — Li Jingliang ($9,200)
Li Jingliang constantly puts on a show when he measures in the Octagon. He’s a quick pace fighter that scores well on DraftKings when he wins. I believe he must be the better fighter wherever this struggle ends up against Abe. In addition, I believe he could finish this battle on the feet or the floor and if this happens he’d probably pay off his high cost of $9.2k. He is the 3rd most expensive fighter on the card and that I believe he’s the highest ceiling. That is what we desire in GPPs is a ceiling, so that is the reason why Jingliang is my GPP drama of the week.
Underdog drama of this week — Song Yadong ($7,900)
Song Yadong is my favourite DraftKings”underdog” this week. His betting line has changed to him being a slight favorite at -120 but he’s $400 cheaper than his opponent. I think saving that $400 is a good transfer in money or GPP games so I enjoy Yadong in all formats. I think Yadong will look to maintain this fight on the feet and hunt for this KO win. If he can get the win, ” I think he must readily pay off that cost and get at least 10x.
Fade of this week — Viviane Pereira ($8,800)
My main difficulty with Pereira is that she is too pricey. At $8.8k, I need at least 88 points out of her and I believe she needs get a finish to perform that. I really don’t see that happening and does Vegas with a +617 ITD line. She does not strike at a high enough pace or land enough takedowns to score 88 points in my opinion. In her two UFC wins she held her opponent against the fence for a fantastic section of the fight and no points are being scored when that occurs. If she does this again , there is no way she comes near 88 points even with a win. I will have a full fade on Pereira this week and that I will pay up for other favorites instead.
