Dallas Mavericks: 20-1

Here is a frightening idea, via Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com:”You do not get any better than Rick Carlisle offense, but Carlisle’s offense got a lot better this offseason.”
Drink that one in.
Last year, Carlisle’s Mavs tied for second in the league with an offensive rating of 109, decimal points behind the NBA-best Los Angeles Clippers, based on NBA.com. Dallas brought to soften the blow, while the reduction of facilitator Jose Calderon and genius sniper will sting. And Monta Ellis can absorb a few possessions as well, which will not be a terrible thing for the Mavs’ attack.
The boost comes from Chandler Parsons, who will slot in at small forward to absorb nearly all the wing minutes Shawn Marion and Vince Carter shared. Tyson Chandler mans the middle of everything should be a better defense.
What Dallas has is fragile. It’s dependent upon the ongoing and health potency of Dirk Nowitzki, about whom an crime that is elite may still be built. That is a remarkable thing to say about a participant, however Nowitzki is, himself.
He’ll be a defense-shredder from the place. And the rest of the Mavs will play him off as the strings are pulled by Carlisle from the bench.
Doubt this group of vets at your own risk.
